The 7th edition of the Paris Sausage Dog Walk (Marche des Teckels)  will be held mid-November, running (or waddling) along the banks of the Seine. An estimated 500-2,000 teckels — that would be dachshunds — attend the event, which raises money for doxie causes.

There’s also a big gathering of the little dogs by the sea in the UK at the Southwold Sausage Walk on the beach in Suffolk in mid-July. Doxie-lovers being who they are, you also may find a sausage walk closer to your home. Be on the lookout (look down).
